To Find Hough Village Hall
Address: Hough Village
Hall, Cobbs Lane, Hough, Nr Crewe, CW2 7JN
Hough is south of Crewe on the old A500, now declassified and called
“Newcastle Road”. The road leaves the new A500 at the roundabout SW of
Willaston and runs east past Shavington before passing through Hough and
then back to join the A500 via the A541. A distance of about 5 miles.
From Chester

Take the A51 for
Nantwich. |

In about 18 miles you
reach the traffic lights at Burford Cross Road (after passing Snugburys
Ice Cream and Car Transplants). |

Turn left for M6,
A500, still on the A51. |

In about 1.5 miles
you will pass Reaseheath College and reach the first roundabout of the
A500 (here called the Nantwich Byepass). TAKE SECOND EXIT (A500) |

Next roundabout (near
Sainsburys) take SECOND EXIT (A500). |

A one mile straight
brings you to the third roundabout. TAKE THIRD EXIT (A500). (The A534 here
takes you to the Brittles). |

Over the railway
bridge and into the fourth roundabout. TAKE THIRD EXIT (leaving A500 and
entering Newcastle Road). |

In just over a mile
you reach a set of lights. Go straight on. (left is to Shavington & Crewe,
right is to Wybunbury). |

You pass a filling
station on the right and then TAKE NEXT RIGHT into Pit Lane, Hough. TAKE
CARE HERE. You may continue if you wish and take the FIRST RIGHT AFTER THE
WHITE HART PUB’ which takes you into Cobbs Lane from the north. |

In a few metres you
reach the “T” junction with Cobbs Lane, Turn LEFT and find the Hall on
your right. |
From WINSFORD
|
Continue along Main
Road in Church Minshull, joining the above route at Reaseheath College
(A500). |

Or, join the A530
from Middlewhich and join the above route at Sainsbury’s Roundabout on the
A500. |
From Crewe
|
Take Gresty Road for
Shavington (passing Alex Ground). |

Go through Shavington
and up to the lights on Newcastle Road. Turn Left onto Newcastle road. |

You pass a filling
station on the right and then TAKE NEXT RIGHT into Pit Lane, Hough. TAKE
CARE HERE. You may continue if you wish and take the FIRST RIGHT AFTER THE
WHITE HART PUB’ which takes you into Cobbs Lane from the north. |

reach the “T” junction with Cobbs Lane, Turn LEFT and find the Hall on
your right. |
From M6, J16
| Take A500 west
for Crewe & Nantwich from J16 of M6. |
| Take first exit
onto A541 (Keele) at first roundabout. |
| Take second exit
for Nantwich at next roundabout. |
| After railway
bridge in 750m take first left into Cobbs Lane, Hall is 500m on left.
