Is there an antidote to stop spending on photo equipment—ordered another gadget today–bet its here tomo. A ring clamp designed for Canon to support a telephoto on tripod–balances the weight and takes strain off camera lens flange. This will take the weight of my mirror lens off the camera as it will lock around the T2 connector. When all up and running will post a photo of all the gear set up.

The 40D was a landmark camera – everyone in the club seemed to have one at one point. It represents the point where Canon had got everything just right. The spending problem; well one solution is to have no money, plainly that isn’t applicable but there are so many toys about and we are just poor puppets in the hands of the commercialists. We have to fall for their bait to keep the wheels of capitalism oiled.

At least it is a nice problem to have – being able to afford these things, others can’t.

You will now this one John–its Carols—-Carol Cotter—–messing about with kit helps to keep sanity spending 24/7 caring for my dog.

I’m sure you know, Ken, that you can get a Leica Monochrom (Typ 246) body and three lenses for only £12,750. 😉

IAN—-I have a dog to keep in the life style accustomed to. I like the comment once made by George Best. He spent his fortune on wine -women–and fast cars—-and the rest he wasted.

Ah, Ken, it’s the dog’ll be the ruin of you! (As spouse of an owner of three of ’em, I should know!) 😉
