Had pleasant day at Chester Zoo Wednesday and would like to share this photo’.

Very very nice Dennis. Think this is the best you’ve shown us so far. Only comment is, is that another cheetahs leg or a tree branch in the background its quite distracting.

If you were entering it in to club nature section comps, I know you’re nonly supposed to tweak a little. That is very very minor alterations, so take advice on this, it’d be ok in general. I think the club now would allow alterations in general catergories. For L&CPU comps though, unless its shot out in the wild it wouldn’t be allowed in nature section, which is a pity.

Other than that its a beautiful shot. Well done indeed. Wish it were mine.

A lovely shot Dennis.   I would burn or reduce the highlights  just lightly on the coat as it is fading away a bit but otherwise a very nice image.

Thanks for the comments ladies, yes I must say it looks as though there is a branch coming out of its ear and I see what Dee means about the coat fading.

This is me concentrating on the face and not the overall picture, a mistake I make all too often.

I love the strong eye contact in this tightly framed shot Dennis. It makes it a powerful shot for me. Although you’ve used a wideish aperture of f5.6, the background is still recognisable. All you have to do is nip in and move the log. Simple!
