    I think it is a very interesting image. If it has the necessary surface qualities too – which your work usually has, I can see it doing well.

    I posted a reply yesterday but it appears not to have got through.

    This one is defiantly better than the first gymnastic one you posted, as you can see her face. I do not think it is always necessarily needed  to be able to see the full features of the face, when you are depicting an artistic pose and flowing shape, this sport is not called Artistic Gymnastics for nothing. I am of the opinion that a face showing emotion and passion is desirable in most sports photography.

    Really striking composition, Martin. The geometrical and almost abstract simplicity of the elements makes for a very strong visual design and a powerful, clear description of the activity. It’s a very elegant photograph that a newspaper photoeditor would grab with both hands!

    Thank you for your constructive comments.  I like this image but since it’s a deviation from what I normally take I thought it would be a good idea to get other members opinions.

    I prefer this pose, and would work well in any competition.
