The theme for February – “Diagonals” – is now closed.

Please chose one of your February images as a final entry – the one you think is your best image from the month. Edit the title of your chosen image by inserting “February Entry – ” in front of its title (e.g. February Entry – “Golden staircase”).

The theme for March 2013 is

Within 100 paces of your door

Post your images as replies to this post. (Make sure you’ve read the Guidelines first.)

You don’t even need to take your slippers off for this one: but you do have to be very creative!

And notice that the topic doesn’t specify which door counts as yours, or even what country it’s in; so you can participate wherever you’re staying. No excuses!

    Have fun!

Now, this is an interesting challenge!

In the CPS Tweets Ian is including a regular item from the Guardian by Thomond http://t.co/LunKyyYIXp about the North. Many of the shots are of fairly mundane things but he always manages to make them interesting – that is your challenge this month!

Ken >>> It doesn’t say you have to pace it out yourself (get your lovely cook to do it!);  but in any case let’s say you can take it as about 100 yards.

And the title very carefully doesn’t say whether it’s inside or outside your door, or, indeed which door it is, or where in the world.  Nor does it say anything about focal length. 😉

Get your creativity slippers on, Ken! 😉

Use Ians guide Meg.  It is very clear.

Is that an infra red image or a topaz tweak Meg?  I like the effect on the tree.  Not something I have ever tried.

    Help

I’m sure the three images above are the correct size (640 pixels on the longest side) and below 512Kb.

I uploaded them to one of my private galleries and then copied their URL to this post but they have appeared as thumbnails.

This seems to be similar to Meg’s problems.

    Dennis
