This is not advertising, more to advise members selling equipment. My recent experience with mpb.com has been excellent and would highly recommend. First they quote a price on your assessment of condition. E.G. My Leica v- lux 1. Within two minutes they offered £175 on my appraisal. They arrange and pay for the courier. Arrived with them in less than 24 hours to Brighton. Three days and they accepted my assessment no quibbling .Today Exactly one week from receiving the Leica my money £175 is in my bank. The reviews are similar of a good experience. Quality people to deal with. The Leica (ten years old) is on there site now at £249. They paid the courier and will have vat to pay on the resale. They have over heads and they give six months warranty. That is fair trading. Worth remembering mpb.com
That sounds very good. Not a big margin when you think that they have to charge VAT and offer some sort of guarantee. I have had a similar experience with Wex, but they don’t pay you cash, they put the balance on account.
Also says something for the weight carried by that little red dot!
I’ve used MPB several times to buy and sell equipment and have found them very professional and efficient. Like Ken says there prices are keen too and the give a good assessment of the secondhand equipment they sell and a six month guarantee. I bought a lens from them a few years ago and the tripod collar broke. They sent me a new collar without quibble and didn’t want the broken one back. Recommended!
