As we start the new season please remember the changes we made to the competition rules.

We now work on BEST 5 for your LEAGUE TOTAL for the year, not BEST TWO IN EACH competition.

We are having a THEMED COMPETITION – well, sort of. In our SECOND PDI an ADDITIONAL CATEGORY will be added to GENERAL and NATURE. You can still enter only THREE images. Why go for the theme? Well, it will be judged separately so you have a greater chance of getting a 20.(TOPIC NOW ANNOUNCED – MOVEMENT)

Must say I’m dissapointed and shouting at my computer screen at the moment tried to message a member regarding rules and needing clarification and failing becaue the system dosen’t seem to recognise the member, though they do exist. So I’ll put it here as well for an answer. Can anyone clarify how many prints you can put into the competition. reading the rules I say six. thats three mono and three colour. Is this correct or wrong.

Please let me know before I go to the hassle and expense of mounting six and having three rejected by the committee. Please let me know before I throw my computer and prints out the nearest window!!!!

Can’t help you with the rules for prints Meg – not my strong point. But to send a private message you have to use the person’s user name. So to send me a message you’d use icmcnab.

You can see the user name if you go to Galleries > Members’ Galleries, and click on the person’s name. On their profile page, you see the user name below the person’s real name. It’s prefaced with an @ sign, but you leave that out when you’re entering it in the ‘Send To’ field of the direct message composer.

    Hope that helps!

    Paul,

Mono is a separate comp. for general subjects so no G or N needs to be on the label. Just number them 1,2,3.

We rarely need to use the numbers as the total number of prints is usually reasonable for the Judge to handle and comment on.
