Keep an eye open for Hawfinches rare in this country. They are flocking here for food. On the continent their food has been decimated  so they are flocking here as there is an abundance of berries etc at the    moment.

I noticed that news item. I wonder what our birdwatchers have to say about it? The Hawfinch is a favourite of mine and we have spent some time in the past searching for them in UK. Have only seen one in Spain.

Thanks for letting us know Ken. They are an attractive bird to look out and I’ll keep my eyes open for them.
