No doubt all will have sorted by now. Anyone yet to install an Office suite –Apache Open Office is worthy for every day bread and butter use. Word processing-spread sheets-presentations-etc. Only for members not aware -Apache Open Office is a free world wide download. I have found for all day to day use it works well- type my letters etc–colours–icons its all there. One word of warning-being a free download it could be possible to down load spooks with it  from dodgy sites. I buy very inexpensive discs from   big A  (not to advertise) -As little as £2 will get you a good safe copy–or £5 for Apache Open Office Professional. Now its then yours to download as often as you like-no recurring charges and you can pass the disc on to friends (both of them if like me  ha ha)– Apache Open Office.

LibreOffice, produced by The Document Foundation, is also a free office suite based on the original Open Office. It’s very similar to the version Ken mentions by Apache Foundation. The advisory board of The Document Foundation includes Google, Intel, Red Hat, Canonical and the Free Software Foundation, among others.

You can download Open Office entirely free, and safely here:

    or LibreOffice here:

Thanks Ian, safe links –that’s better still. Now did you know you can have a night light on screen in W10.  Settings—-System—Display and find what you need.   On/Off     switch— Hours to display –colour temp slider–cool if awake  or warmer to help sleep.
