John i did not think that you or the club would hold any of peoples work and yes this will take a bit of doing, but i wondered if it was possible to contact some folk you know of old to see if you can get any old prints or slides, a shame i sold my slide projector only 4 months back..

A photo is a photo by what ever means, is it not?

The fact that some only have basic stuff and a very small budget and dont ever have a chance against the top quality equipment and lenes, but it should not put you off taking and looking for that perfect shot, the more you take the better the chance be it an SLR or a mobile phone.

No it will be money wasted. Lets face it te last couple if times it has been used know wine really knew how to use it anyway. If you have CS4 you can show a demo. I have CS5 and use it more than PSE10 but I like to have it plus I have Lightroom but never e really used it. Maybe a talk about the differences would b handy with a couple if demos.

I am looking for one to make money rather than trying to win competitions with. I know the public would never notice the difference in ink quality to be honest I have been using refillable inks for Yeats and I can’t even see the difference haha but I know what your saying thanks.

I would just like to know what people think about the two or is there any others in the game I can look at ?

I think the portrait comp should go. And if you get the opertunity to actually take portraits then they should be in the general as this again is limiting people from entering. Or portraits should not actually be in the general at all thus leaving more space or general photos. with me lookinging the way I do I can’t point my camera at people without having problems plus I can’t afford to get modals. I loose out.

I know I am not heard in the same way as others by what I say and how I put it, but I am not keen on having to put in nature because unless you meet the very high quality you have NO chance. As for everyone getting the say 15 score under 17 what is the point. I have scored very very low this year so far but at least I know my place and position I would rather know  my placing..

I am just saying that if anyone puts there ah and up to speak they should make sure they know what they are doing, we hear and have been told so many times it FIRST important to know your equipment this goes for the pc as well as the camera I am sure. This was not the first time we have had so much wasted time with the pc. I feel that we only have 2 hours and so being prepared is key.

I did like the talk about the animal place  (can’t spell it)  just not sure it’s as relevant in the learning to be a photographer and that its a place to see animals up close.

I know that what ever I say will be out of place but hey you don’t have to agree with me, I am just saying…….

John’s talk about RAW  was helpful and I am going to shoot in RAW more often now.
