Jim Harrison is a very fondly remembered. He attained his century and that was marked by a special L&CPU medal. He was one of the first members to buy a digital camera and thoroughly enjoyed using it – he was into his nineties at the time! In 2003 we held our first projected digital image competition and it seemed fit to have it bear his name. He presented that first award.
Well we have now passed a few years without Jim, our digital competitions have grown from that first single one to a whole series each year but it is good to call our “final” the Jim Harrison and remember that lovely, lively old gentleman; musician, craftsman and kind enough to say that he attributed his longevity to being a member of CPS!
In any event tonight’s competition was won by Ian Whiston for his Tommie Escaping. It won the Nature section, John Royle won the mono with Montgom’wy and Ken Dickenson won the general section with Battling for the Ball. The judge Diana Magor EFIAP/b MPSA CPAGB LRPS selected Ian’s image from the section winners. The full results can be seen here and a gallery will be added later.
Congratulations everyone for bewildering the judge with so many excellent images!
