Alsager by a whisker in the “Five Towns”

September 25, 2014 in Crewe PS news

In the 5-Towns Monochrome Print Competition tonight we had not a single print which might raise the question, is this monochrome? In fact they were all good examples of the state of excellence which can now be achieved with the software and printer technology we have available today. We have come a long way from the days when we questioned the right of the digital print to even be thought worthy of existing amid our beloved silver prints!

The subjects were various with many excellent compositions. A thoroughly entertaining evening, enjoyment enriched by an excellent standard of judging from Christine Widdall.

Alsager CC just pipped us to the post with 203 marks to our 202, Nantwich were third with 197, Whitchurch 196 and Sandbach 179. Full details are HERE.

Our own first print competition is just round the corner – in fact the hand-in date was today, but members have a week’s grace now.

Entries next Thursday 2 October please and PDIs of the prints emailed to me for simultaneous projection.
