Dorothy and Tony Redford are honorary members of North Cheshire PS and Tony has been very involved with the excellent North Cheshire Challenges since their inception. He easily communicates his enthusiasm for photography and this contributed a lot to our enjoyment of the evening. We saw his, and Dorothy’s, shots of Valencia, Paris, Berlin and Venice stitched together in excellent AVs which often took you down the fascinating backwaters of these places, which added greatly to their interest. We then came home to shots of Scotland and the Lakes and a sequence about Trains which I thought contained the best sequence of the evening as the lens pored over rusting relics of the steam age to a very clever and tuneful piece by what sounded like the Swingle Singers.
It was a great time to be watching all this as we look forward to enjoying a summer behind the lens capturing all those sparkling images ready for next season. Remember though that the most important thing is to create what satisfies you! Satisfying judges is a fickle business, they keep changing, and only your personal work has resonance and meaning.
