The theme for January is your ‘Favourite Photos’
Happy New Year everyone. 2020 has been a tough year for every one and it has been difficult for us to get out to take our photographs. To make this month’s challenge nice and easy for a brand new year, all you have to do is pick out your favourite photos that you’ve taken and say why you like them. They could be quite old and have special memories, or perhaps it was challenging to get a result, and you achieved it. It might be your first winning photo or one that has won many awards. It would be good to see a photo that hasn’t been too successful, but you really like. Tell us why and start a discussion. Anything goes within the policy of the website.
To make it easier just resize your photograph as you would for a PDI competition. That is size it to fit in a 1600x1200px frame them it will neatly fit into the post. You have to type in some text first or the picture will fail to upload. Then click on the BROWSE button below to search your device for the picture. You can upload up to 4 images at a time. When you’ve finished uploading and adding your text press the SUBMIT button. See the illustration below for advice.
There’s no restriction on when the photograph was taken so search though your archives show us what you can produce. If you would like to suggest any topics for the monthly theme please let me know. Thank you to everyone who contributed to last months’ theme.

I’ve found it so difficult to decide on a favourite photo. Different photos are favourites for different reasons. So I have just chosen one that I like at random. This one for me just sums up a day out, if you remember them, to the Sandbach transport festival. It captures the dedicated owner discussing his wonderful traction engine. The steam add to the atmosphere. It probably wouldn’t do well in a comp because of the people around the edge, but they’re part of the scene, so I don’t mind.
