    If anyone is thinking of trying for a PAGB award it’s working looking at the link below which shows examples of photographers who have recently achieved them. As you can see the standard is quite high, but I’m sure many of our members can reach it.

      I would urge everyone to sign up to receive every issue of eNews from the PAGB.

      I would also say that CPAGB images can be misleading in representing the standards, simply because they advise that everyone starts by applying for CPAGB there are always a good number of applicants who are already well in excess of the required standard. The standard required to pass is simply defined as good club standard. Crewe PS standards are high, so if you can muster 10 prints or 10 PDIs which could get 17 or more in our competitions, then you are working at the required standard. Several members have these awards and can help you in selecting images and giving advice. In addition there is a mentoring scheme offered by the LCPU and, for the last two years, they have been centering the annual Big Day around help with getting these awards.
