The theme for August is now closed

    The theme for September is

    Camera Phone Photos

Some of the best photographers recommend photographers to always carry a camera and as most of us carry a mobile phone or tablet which incorporates a camera. They make it easy for us to enjoy our hobby where we are. Camera phones and tablets are light, compact, of good quality and come with special effects. So they’re an ideal tool to experiment with for creating imaginative photographs. So for this month show fellow members what you can produce with your phone and share the advantages of using it with them. The subject matter is open, but I suspect street photography will be popular. Do you have any tips on using a camera phone?

Here’s a link giving some advice for using a camera phone:

Thank you everyone who contributed to last months theme.

It’s easy to upload your pictures now. The best way to insert an image is to use the right hand icon in the edit menu. It looks like a picture of a mountain. If you wish you can prepare your picture before hand to have a long side of something like 650px at 72ppi, but the upload dialogue box has a resize option.

There’s no restriction on when the photograph was taken so search though your archives show us what you can produce. If you would like to suggest any topics for the monthly theme please let me know. Thank you to everyone who contributed to last months’ theme.

Lots of scope for this. Very inexpensive telephoto attachments available as clip ons for cell /smartphones     to broaden the appeal. Will be interesting to see if any members participate.
