The theme for August is now closed

The theme for September is ‘Photograph Crewe’

As a bit of a change from the normal themes this month, I’ve decided to set you a challenge of taking some photos to show the best of Crewe. I got this idea after being given a nod that the towns forthcoming Christmas event, which is being produced by Blackpool council, is going to have a photography competition depicting Crewe. So if members who want to enter and get a head start now is your chance to find some hidden gems of the towns best spots. There’s the obvious locations like the beautiful Queens park and the town has some fine architecture like the Town Tall, Crewe Hall and Christ Church. Then there’s the more modern buildings like the Lifestyle Centre and the Grand Junction retail park. I’m not sure of the details yet, but I’m sure photographs of events and activities will be welcomed. For this months theme I’m happy for you to share your best photos of activities in the town which relate the community to their environment. It’s documenting history.

To make it easier just resize your photograph as you would for a PDI competition. That is size it to fit in a 1600x1200px frame them it will neatly fit into the post. You have to type in some text first or the picture will fail to upload. Then click on the BROWSE button below to search your device for the picture. You can upload up to 4 images at a time. When you’ve finished uploading and adding your text press the SUBMIT button. See the illustration below for advice.

There‚Äôs no restriction on when the photograph was taken so search though your archives show us what you can produce. If you would like to suggest any topics for the monthly theme please let me know. Thank you to everyone who contributed to last months’ theme.
