They say there is no such thing as a free lunch, so I’m expecting a catch. This morning I had an email from Topaz offering their new sharpening software, price 100 dollars, free.
This comes at a time when, if I have anything to warn members about, it is over-sharpening. The irony!
Well, since they already have my details (I have become very wary and try now not to deal with anyone new to me) I went ahead and downloaded it. All of you who bought the full suite of Topaz stuff (in my case in 2011, nothing since) will certainly be made the same offer.
I’ve just realied what the catch is; it is to dissuade me from my growing feeling that sharpening is one way of ruining a perfectly good picture. It won’t work.
