    This is for Fuji users. (Apologies to everyone else!) If, like me, you forget which film simulation you used for your jpg files, you can find out using the free utility from Fujifilm called “RAW FILE CONVERTER EX 3.0 powered by SILKYPIX”.

    (I think it comes on the disk you got with your camera, but you can certainly download a copy from the Fujifilm site via the link above.)

    Once installed as per the instructions on the download page, just open it, and either navigate to your JPG file via the folders and double click it or simply drag the file onto the main Raw File Converter screen.

    Then click “View > Image Properties”.
    (You’ll notice that Image Properties is ticked: that just displays an icon in the left panel which you can click directly if you prefer).

    The information is displayed in the left panel. The last field in the Image Information section is FILM SIMULATION, and it tells you what you used.
