Congratulations to Stephen Coyne on winning our coveted Photographer of the Year award with a staggering 321 points. Stephen certainly mopped up this season by winning both the PDI League Competition with 133 points and the new Lockdown League with 132 points. The above slideshow shows 11 of his creative images that scored 19 or 20 in both Leagues. Arctic Bay and the monochrome Eccentric Stairway both score 20. That shows Stephen’s versatility and a consistent high standard in his work. The slideshow clearly demonstrates what a vivid imagination Stephen has, together with the ability photograph the original subject and transform it on the computer. Many of these excellent images have helped us win three external competitions. We also owe Stephen a big thank you for hosting our meetings during lock down on his Zoom subscription. He and his wife, Judith, have also given us a fascinating talk on ‘Undiscovered Burma’. Stephen has also become our new Programme Secretary and has already produced an interesting and varied programme for next season. See it here.
