Last Thursday, 3rd November, professional photographer, Ashley Franklin gave his riveting talk ‘The Wider World of Photography’ to Alsager Camera Club and Crewe Photographic Society. Ashley, who has worked for BBC radio delivered his well researched talk articulately to a large audience in Alsager over the Zoom network. He showed us classic images from the 1800s through to the present day and the stories behind them. He gave us many thoughtful quotes from inspirational photographers which will generated ideas to take our photograph further. Many of the icon photographs were emotional and led to world changing attitudes, illustrating the power a single photograph can achieve.
