Gold at the Bebington Salon

Ian Whiston DPAGB EFIAP/s ABPE our wildlife photographer member likes to surprise us and last night was no exception. Some of us had not realised that he had been awarded a Gold Medal in the Bebington Salon.  Mind you, what to the rest of us is a great achievement is pretty routine for Ian, possessor of well over a hundred such medals.

The Bebington Salon is a national competition whose awards are internationally recognised under the BPE scheme. Its organiser, Bob Dennis APAGB CPAGB AFIAP BPE4 makes an annual presentation of the accepted images and award winners at Crewe PS. We are joined by members of Alsager CC for the occasion.

Ian also gained two commendations; for Hyena with Buffalo leg and Alert Cheetah mother.

Ian was not the only successful author. Ray Hill CPAGB, gained a commendation for his remarkable No bones broken, he also had on monochrome shot Tough Mudder accepted.

Geoff Reader DPAGB BPE3, an Alsager member who had judged for us and talked to us, together with colleague Andrew Donkin BPE2, also enjoyed success in the competition.
