The Robertshaw Trophy is an inter club, open PDI, competition between Crewe PS, Leek PC, Macclesfield, Holmes Chapel and Blythe Bridge. As the distances between the club are so great, we decided to hold the event over the zoom network. Each club can enter 12 images, with not more than 3 from any one member. This season we hosted the competition. Stephen Coyne secured the services of experienced judge John Smith APAGB, CPAGB, Hon LCPU who gave us a balanced and constructive critique.

Congratulations to Leek Photographic Club who won the Trophy with 207 marks, we came a very creditable second with 199 marks, Holmes Chapel were third with 192 marks, Macclesfield were forth with 184 marks and Blythe Bridge scored 183 marks.

Ray Hill’s magnificent monochrome image ‘Bellowing Stag’ was our highest scoring image with 19 marks and Paul Hill’s atmospheric ‘Bamburgh Castle at Dawn’, Ian Whiston’s study of a ‘Village Weaver Nest Building’, Paul Hill’s ariel photo of a ‘Eurasian Curlew’, Stephen Coyne’s favourite ‘The Angry King’ all scored 18 marks. While Peter Robinson’s monochrome rugby picture ‘Muddy Marvel’s was awarded 17 marks.
