The annual inter-club competition with Alsager CC took place this evening, judged by Steve Carr. Since Alsager did not have their room available this year Crewe played host and it was left to me to prepare all the pictures – 60 prints and 60 PDIs, so I knew that the combined audience would have a good evenings viewing; excellent, quality images of all kinds. Alsager are now a stronger club in competition than they were in the quite recent past and so we were pleased to achieve a victory overall, with a strong lead in the prints and a very narrow victory in the projected photographs. A great evening which Steve presided over with great humour. He articulated his feelings for each image very well and showed great respect to them all. He was brave in awarding a wide spread of marks. We hope he will accept an invitation to judge at Crewe next season.
Our highest scoring projected image “Coming down the Hill” by Dolores Williams is featured as our Image of the Week on the front page.
