We have three print League Competitions each season. Members can enter up to 3 Colour and 3 Mono prints into each. Colour is either Nature or General.
Towards the end of the season we hold the Print Annual. Members can only enter prints already used in the season’s leagues but can re-work them if they wish.
We try to invite an experienced judge to view the prints and select those which they think deserve awards and this year that task was in the well-qualified and reliable hands of nature photographer Margaret Sixsmith EFIAP/g FBPE EPSA.
The winners of the sections were John Royle, Dolores Williams and Paul Hill, with Paul’s print Fallow Deer Fawn at Dawn also being named “Print of the Year”.
Although missing out on first places Wallace Baxter was our biggest hitter; gaining 5 awards (one quarter!). The prints can be viewed here.
It always feels as if the season is ending when we hold the Annuals, but in fact we are only 2/3 the way through, with plenty to look forward to.
