Rod Wheelans has just sent through two special editions of the PAGB eNews; 117 and 118.
PAGB eNews 117 features the Inter-Club PDI Championships at Warwick University on Saturday July 12th. Each of the 15 Federations can send two clubs and then the top 8 from last year are added too giving a maximum field of 38 clubs. All take part in the first two rounds and then the top eight from those two rounds go forward to compete for the Championship whilst the rest of the field compete in shorter rounds for the “Plate” Trophy. [wpfilebase tag=fileurl id=200 linktext=’It is all HERE – be warned it is a 2.8Mb file’/]. You can order tickets at just £5 – a bargain.
PAGB eNews 118 is all about the APMs (Awards for Photographic Merit) more familiar as CPAGB, DPAGB and MPAGB. We have talked about these awards many times at club meetings. At Crewe PS if you have 10 prints or 10 projections which have gained 18, 19 or 20 then you have the material to put forward to be considered for CPAGB. It costs about £100, there is a longish waiting list, but you keep the award for life and pay nothing more. When you compare it to the cost of the entries you need to make to gain the BPE or FIAP awards £100 is inexpensive. The L&CPU have a Mentoring scheme to help and we can offer help too to see you though the applications etc. [wpfilebase tag=fileurl id=201 linktext=’PAGB eNews 118 can be downloaded HERE’/]. This one I have pared down to 1Mb.
