Our season ended last night; we have only the “Five Towns” Monochrome Print Competition, hosted by Nantwich CC, on Tuesday 7th May left on the calendar. The event starts at 7.30 at Nantwich CC’s new venue at Richmond Park. There is a map and plan that they provided here Hope to see many of you there. […]

Members submitted up to six new images. Ian Whiston assembled these into Breeze Browser and displayed them, randomised, in pairs. We all vote for the “best” of the pair. Flawed, of course, because two top quality images can appear together and one has to go, two poorer ones and still one stays in. But, it […]

Congratulations to Martin McGing for winning the Maurice Ashwin Portrait Competition for prints last night. There was a really good selection of prints and a high standard displayed so a win was something to celebrate. The results are now posted on the 2012-13 CPS Prints section of the Results page. David left Ilford nearly 10 years ago to pursue a career as a professional photographer. He has since had 4 books published; […]

Tonight we had our penultimate inter-club competition of the season – with Sandbach PS. We managed to have the 19s and 20s in both the prints and the PDIs so Crewe PS won by 351 points to 331. Sandbach had some excellent work which stood up very well indeed and had much classic quality about them; we […]
